Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo preučili in predstavili možnosti ter načine uporabe tehnologij PHP in Node.js pri razvoju spletnih strani. Na osnovi rezultatov pregleda literature smo oblikovali model za analizo in primerjavo tehnologij, ki je temeljil tudi na izkušnjah, pridobljenih pri razvoju ekvivalentne spletne rešitve z uporabo obeh vrednotenih strežniških tehnologij. Ugotovili smo, da se tehnologiji, razen po zrelosti in razširjenosti, še najbolj razlikujeta glede na razpoložljivost podpore in dostopnost virov ter vidikov, povezanih z zmogljivostjo.

Title:Analysis and comparison of PHP and Node.js for web development
Abstract:In this diploma thesis possibilities and uses of PHP and Node.js for web development were studied and presented. Based on results of literature overview, a model for analysis and comparison of technologies was formed, where experiences gained from the development of equivalent web solution using both evaluated server-side technologies were also taken into consideration. We found out that technologies, apart from maturity and popularity, differ the most in available support and aspects related to performance.
