Abstract:Namen diplomske naloge je predstaviti postopek priprave novih polimernih oblog na osnovi derivatov polimetakrilata na medicinskem jeklu AISI 316LVM. S pomočjo karakterizacije lastnosti posameznih oblog na nerjavnem jeklu, sproščanja zdravilne učinkovine in meritve površine vzorcev z mikroskopom na atomsko silo smo raziskali obnašanje večslojne obloge na nerjavnem jeklu za uporabo v biomedicinskih aplikacijah. Takšne obloge omogočajo podaljšano uporabo medicinskih vsadkov.

Title:Novel polymethacrylate derivative based coatings on medical grade steel for potential biomedical applications
Abstract:The purpose of this work is to present the preparation of novel polymer coatings based on polymethacrylate derivatives on medical grade steel AISI 316LVM. Through the combination of individual characterization, testing the release of the incorporated analgesic substance and the analysis of sample surface morphology by atomic force microscopy (AFM), the behavior of the multilayer coating on stainless steel was investigated. Deep understanding of the coatings performance would allow prolonged use of such medical implants.
