V zadnjem poglavju dela predstavljam sedem oblikovno različnih skladb. Vsaka skladba je glasbeno in teoretično analizirana - analiza vsebuje več glasbenih parametrov, kot so harmonija, oblika ali forma, melodija, ritem, slog, orkestracija, instrumentacija, dinamika, tempo, agogika ...

Title:The influence of folk music on the work of Joseph Haydn
Abstract:This master's thesis focuses on folk music from the period of classicism in Central Europe. The folk music of the time was called "popular music". In this paper are presented the most famous works of Joseph Haydn which contain elements of folk music, ie folk melodies. Joseph Haydn spent the period from 1761 to 1790 at the Esterhazy family court as a "Kapellmeister". The influence of folk music of the surrounding countries (Hungary, Croatia) was significant and resulted in numerous pieces including folk melodies. The thesis questions the extent to which Haydn's composition is linked to folklore music. Based on the analysis of Joseph Haydn's works, I explain the significance of folk melody in certain compositions. In the period of classicism absolute music prevails, and for classicism as a musical direction it can be stated that it is based on German Lied. It is indeed difficult to separate folk music from "art" or "classical" music. Much of classical music is based on the folk music treasure, which is shown in this paper. Methodically, this work is based on three different principles. At the beginning I use the historical method in which the biography of Joseph Haydn was presented, followed by a description of the period of classicism in which the composer worked, and most of all I look at the moments of Haydn's life when he was introduced to folk music and I explain how folk melodies were found in some pieces of the classical master. The second theoretical method on which this paper is based is the comparative method. In the work of Joseph Haydn we find numerous compositions that contain folk melodies. By cccomparing individual compositions the differences between Croatian, Hungarian and Austrian folk music are explained. Composition analysis is the most important part of this thesis. In the last chapter I present the analysis of seven formally different compositions, each of which is analyzed the oretically and harmonically. The analysis contains multiple music parameters such as melody, harmony, form, rhythm, orchestration, instrumentation, dynamics, tempo, agogic.
