Abstract:
V magistrski nalogi je na osnovi izdelane analize kriterijev tehnološke ustreznosti in tveganj informacijske varnosti, predstavljena tehnološka rešitev nadgradnje in prenosa Oracle baz podatkov iz HP-Unix na Linux operacijski sistem, ki vključuje postopke: • zamenjava računalniškega okolja (platform migration), • zamenjava operacijskega sistema, • zamenjava vrstnega reda zlogov (endianness migration) • nadgradnja verzije (version migration). Naloga temelji na izvedbi posredovane revizijske zahteve zamenjave informacijske tehnologije, na analizi in pripravi teoretičnih izhodišč postopkov testiranja. V izvedbenem postopku so predstavljeni tehnološki postopki namestitve sistemske programske opreme, nove verzije Oracle baze podatkov in izvajanje migracije baze podatkov z obsežnim seznamom testiranj pravilnega delovanja poslovnih aplikacij. Rezultat naloge je migracija in nadgradnja Oracle baze podatkov s spremenjenim zapisom zloga na novi informacijski infrastrukturi in uspešno izvajanje vseh poslovnih procesov v organizaciji po izvedeni migraciji.

Cross platform database migration
Abstract:
Based on the analysis of criteria of technological adequacy and risks of information security, the master’s thesis presents a technological solution of upgrading and transmitting the Oracle database from HP-Unix to Linux operating system, which in turn includes the following procedures: • Replacement of the hardware environment (platform migration), • Replacement of the operating system, • Replacement of the byteorder (endianness migration), • Upgrade of the version (version migration).
