Title:Sinteza in karakterizacija nikljevih koordinacijskih spojin z izbranimi tiopiridinskimi ligandi

Abstract:Namen magistrskega dela je bila sinteza novih koordinacijskih spojin z nikljem. Pri tem je bil uporabljen nikljev acetat tetrahidrat in različni tiopiridinski ligandi. Opravljenih je bilo 36 sintez. Sinteze so bile v največji meri izvedene z mešanjem pri sobni temperaturi, v določenih primerih pa z refluktiranjem in solvotermalno pri povišani temperaturi in tlaku. Kot topili sta bila v večini primerov uporabljena metanol in N,N-dimetilformamid. Pogosto smo uporabili tudi ustrezno kombinacijo topil. Dobljeni sintezni produkti so bili karakterizirani z infrardečo spektroskopijo, rentgensko analizo na monokristalu in rentgensko praškovno difrakcijo. Dodatne informacije o strukturi in lastnostih spojin smo pridobili z magnetnimi meritvami in s termogravimetrično analizo. V okviru magistrskega dela je bila uspešno sintetizirana do sedaj še neznana koordinacijska spojina s kemijsko formulo: [Ni(O2CCH3)2(C7H6N2S)2]. Gre za enojedrno koordinacijsko spojino z nikljem, na katerega sta vezana dva enovezna liganda, molekuli 2-aminobenzotiazola in dva kelatno vezana acetatna liganda. Sinteza je bila izvedena z mešanjem pri sobni temperaturi, na zraku. Kot topilo je bil uporabljen metanol.

Title:Synthesis and characterization of coordination compounds with nickel using thiopyridine ligands
Abstract:The purpose of this dissertation was the synthesis of new coordination compounds of nickel. We used nickel acetate tetrahydrate and different thiopyridine ligands. To achieve our goal, we performed thirty-six synthesis reactions. In most cases reactions were carried at room temperature on a stirrer, under reflux or solvothermal at high temperature and high pressure. Our solvents were mainly methanol and N,N-dimethylformamide. Several times we also used appropriate combinations of solvents. The compounds were then characterized by infrared spectroscopy, by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and by X-ray powder diffraction. Additional structural information and information about properties were obtained by magnetic measurements and thermogravimetric analysis. We have successfully synthesized a new, previously unreported coordination compound with chemical formula [Ni(O2CCH3)2(C7H6N2S)2]. Given compound is mononuclear coordination compound of nickel, with two chelating acetate ligands and two monodentate ligands, molecules of 2-aminobenzothiazole. New compound was synthesized at room temperature, in air. As solvent, we used methanol.
