Abstract:Namen diplomske naloge je bil razviti robotsko roko za manipulacijo manjših predmetov s pripadajočo programsko opremo. Potrebno se je bilo poglobiti v znanja različnih strok kot so računalništvo, robotika, strojništvo in elektrotehnika z namenom, da bi opisali tehnologije, postopke in metode izdelave. V prvem delu naloge smo se posvetili modeliranju robotske roke, pri čemer smo za oblikovanje 3D modela uporabili CAD orodje Rhinoceros. Drugi del naloge smo posvetili razvoju uporabniškega vmesnika in programske opreme za komunikacijo in nadzor nad mikrokrmilnikom, ki temeljita na uveljavljenih visokonivojskih programskih jezikih Java in C++. Računalnik z robotsko roko komunicira preko mikrokrmilnika Arduino, ki upravlja s servo motorji na robotski roki.

Title:DEVELOPMENT OF A ROBOTIC ARM FOR MANIPULATING SMALL OBJECTS
Abstract:The purpose of this bachelor thesis was the development of a robotic arm and its corresponding software which required interdisciplinary knowledge of computer science, electrical and mechanical engineering in order to understand and present the methods and technologies used in design and manufacturing. The first part was dedicated to the process of modelling of the robotic arm. CAD software Rhinoceros was used to design the 3D model. The second part describes the development of the user interface and software, based on two known high-level programming languages Java and C++, that were used for control and communication with the microcontroller Arduino. Controlling of the servo motors on the robotic arm was achieved with an Arduino microcontroller with a data link to the computer.
