Title:VPLIV MOTIVA NA SPREJEMANJE UMETNIŠKIH DEL V OBDOBJU IMPRESIONIZMA

Abstract:Diplomsko delo z naslovom »Vpliv motiva na sprejemanje umetniških del v obdobju impresionizma« je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. Namen diplomskega dela je bilo predstaviti deset umetniških del otrokom, starim med pet in šest let. Izbranih je bilo pet umetniških del iz obdobja impresionizma in pet umetniških del iz obdobja kubizma. Z otroki smo izvedli intervju z instrumentom anketnega vprašalnika ter dobili povratne informacije. Zanimalo nas je, katera umetniška dela otroka bolj privlačijo, iz katerega obdobja in zakaj. Hkrati nas je zanimalo, ali otroke bolj pritegnejo abstraktna ali neabstraktna dela. Vprašali smo se, kako pogosto je na umetniških delih pritegnil otroke živalski motiv v primerjavi z drugimi motivi, pri čemer smo upoštevali tudi število umetniških del z živalskimi oz. drugimi motivi. Raziskati želimo, kako spol vpliva na izbiro motiva. Obenem smo preverili, če likovni kriterij vpliva na izbiro posameznega umetniškega dela. V teoretičnem delu smo na splošno poudarili teme iz likovne umetnosti, otrokovega likovnega razvoja in definicije motivov. Dotaknili smo se obdobja impresionizma in ugotovili, kateri znani umetniki so bili v tem obdobju aktivni in kakšen vtis so naredili pri naši raziskavi. Podrobneje smo predstavili tri izbrana umetniška dela iz obdobja impresionizma. Vzporedno z našo raziskavo je potekala raziskava druge diplomantke z enakimi anketnimi vprašanji raziskave in istimi vključenimi umetniškimi deli. V empiričnem delu smo zbrane podatke zapisali v tabelarični obliki in jih interpretirali. Skozi raziskavo smo glede na všečnost ugotovili, da so otrokom bolj všeč umetniška dela iz obdobja kubizma, kar posledično pomeni, da otroke bolj pritegnejo abstraktna dela. V našem diplomskem delu je živalski motiv na ponujenih umetniških delih bolj pritegnil dečke kot deklice. Otroci so bili glede všečnosti bolj usmerjeni na motiv kot na likovni kriterij.

Title:THE INFLUENCE OF MOTIV ON ACCEPTING WORKS OF ART IN THE PERIOD OF IMPRESSIONISM
Abstract:Thesis titled "The Influence of Motif on Accepting Works of Art in the Period of Impressionism" consists of the theoretical and the empirical part. The purpose of the thesis was to introduce ten works of art from the period of Impressionism and Cubism to children aged between 5 and 6 years. Five works of art from the period of Impressionism and five works of art from the period of Cubism were selected. With the instrument of questionnaire, we conducted an interview with the children and received feedback. We wanted to know what works of art children find more appealing, from which period and why. At the same time we wanted to know whether children are attracted more by abstract or by non-abstract works of art. We asked ourselves how often kids were attracted to animal motif compared to other motifs, keeping in mind the number of works of art with animal and other motives. We want to explore how gender influences the motif choice. At the same time, we checked if the artistic criterion influences the choice of an individual work of art. In the theoretical part we emphasized the themes of art in general, child's artistic development and the definition of motifs. We touched the period of Impressionism and found out which famous artists were active in that period and what impression they made in our survey. In more detail, we presented three selected works of art from the Impressionist period. Parallel to our study another survey was carried out by another student; she included the same questionnaire and the same selected works of art. In the empirical part, we presented the collected data in the tabular form together with the interpretation. Through research, we found that according to the likeability children prefer works of art from the period of Cubism, which in turn means that children prefer the abstract works. In our thesis the animal motif on the selected works of art attracted boys more than girls. Regarding likeability children were more focused on the motif than on artistic criterion.
