Abstract:V današnjih časih se podjetja zavedajo, da je za uspešnost samega podjetja pomembno učinkovito skladiščno poslovanje, saj posledično omogoča podjetju delovanje drugih funkcij, predvsem nabave in prodaje. Posledično imamo popoln nadzor v skladišču in s tem zagotavljamo natančen pregled zaloge v realnem času, hitrejše komisioniranje ter sam proces izdaje.

Title:Warehouse business operation in the wood manufacturing company
Abstract:Companies are nowadays fully aware of importance of effective warehouse business. Effective warehouse business enables company's operations to operate better, especially procurement and sale. Companies can optimize the duration of the warehouse processes and the benefits for the company are lower expenses, shorter duration and improved logistics. In this Bachelor's degree there is an analysis and a research about the warehouse business; how to optimize existing condition by initiation of the information technology. We focused on high-rack storage facility of final products. Complete products from the production enter the warehouse where the order picking is done. At the high-rack storage facility in question no information technology is being used to support warehouse processes. Work is based on paper technology and hand working, that's why there is a higher chance for human mistakes. The purpose and aim of this degree is to solve the existing conditions at the high-rack storage at acceptance, store and order picking of the final products. We suggest the introduction of barcode with the information technology implementation. A warehouse employee scans products at the entrances and exits with barcode reader. Data enter the system at a real time. We get the stranglehold at the high-rack storage facility and we assure accurate check-up of the storage in real time, quicker order picking and more effective process of the issuing of products.
