Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo načrtovali regulator, ki bo omogočal polnjenje akumulatorjev s pretvorbo sončne energije. Načrtovan je tako, da deluje po metodi sledenja vršne moči. Na začetku so na kratko predstavljene sončne celice, njihove prednosti in slabosti. V nadaljevanju so opisani algoritmi sledenja točki vršne moči in polnjenja različnih baterij ter načrtovanje polnilnega regulatorja. Vezje polnilnega regulatorja je sestavljeno iz pretvornika navzdol, dveh tokovnih merilnikov, dveh napetostnih merilnikov in krmilnika. Polnilni regulator deluje v dveh načinih; sledenje točki vršne moč ter reguliranje izhoda. Polnilni regulator je namenjen polnjenju svinčevih baterij in nekaterih litij-ionskih baterij.

Title:UNIVERSAL CHARGER WITH PEAK POWER POINT TRACKING
Abstract:In this diploma we have designed a regulator that charges batteries with power from solar cells. It does that by using maximum power point tracking methode. At the beginning of diploma we briefly describe solar cells, their advantages and disadvantages. We also describe maximum power point tracking, charging different kind of batteries and the charger itself. The charger consists of buck converter, two current monitors, two voltage monitors and the microcontroller. Charge regulator works in two modes. These are tracking maximum power point or regulating the output of charge regulator. The charger charges lead acid batteries and some lithium batteries.
