Title:INHIBICIJSKE LASTNOSTI NEIONSKEGA SURFAKTANTA POLIOKSIETILEN (40) IZOBUTIL ETER PRI POVIŠANI TEMPERATURI

Abstract:Proučevali smo vpliv inhibicije neionske površinsko aktivne snovi (PAS) polioksietilen (40) izobutil eter na feritno nerjavno jeklo X4Cr13 v 1,0 M raztopini žveplove (VI) kisline v temperaturnem območju od 30°C do 45°C s klasično potenciodinamsko metodo. Z merjenjem površinske napetosti smo določili kritično micelno koncentracijo (CMC). Adsorpcija PAS polioksietilen (40) izobutil eter sledi Flory-Huggins-ovi adsorpcijski izotermi, s pomočjo katere smo izračunali termodinamsko količino ΔGads. Korozijsko hitrost lahko povežemo z Arrheniusovo enačbo, iz katere smo izračunali aktivacijsko energijo in Arrheniusov parameter. Dobljene vrednosti aktivacijske energije za izbran sistem povedo, da se mehanizem adsorpcije spremeni, in sicer iz fizikalne adsorpcije v kemisorpcijo. To potrjuje prvotno naraščanje vrednosti aktivacijske energije s kasnejšim padanjem teh vrednosti. S pomočjo tehnike oslabljenega totalnega odboja infrardeče spektroskopije s Fourierjevo transformacijo (ATR-FTIR) smo določili značilne skupine polioksietilena (40) izobutil etra na vzorcu, kateri je bil 24 h potopljen v raztopini.

Title:INHIBITION PROPERTIES OF POLYOXYETHYLENE (40) ISOBUTYL ETHER AT INCREASING TEMPERATURE
Abstract:The inhibition characteristics of a non-ionic surfactant polyoxyethylene (40) isobutyl ether on stainless steel type X4Cr13 in 1,0 M H2SO4 solution in temperature area 30°C do 45°C, was investigated by potentiodynamic polarisation measurements. The surface tension at 25°C was measured to estimate the critical micell concentration of surfactant polyoxyethylene (40) isobutyl ether in 1,0 M H2SO4 solution. Adsorption of surfactant obeys Flory-Huggins isotherm, which we used to calculate thermodynamic parameter ΔGads. Corrosion rate can be linked with Arrhenius equation. Activation energy shows that the kinetics mechanism is changing from physisorption to chemisorption. Attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) was employed to determine functional groups on the stainless steel surface after 24 h immersion in polyoxyethylene (40) isobutyl ether containing solution.
