V diplomskem delu smo predstavili pomen zagotavljanja pacientove pravice do primerne, kakovostne in varne zdravstvene oskrbe z vidika izvajalca zdravstvene nege in z raziskavo ugotavljali zavedanje oz. poznavanje te pravice s strani članov negovalnega tima. Člani negovalnega tima zagotavljajo pacientom primerno, kakovostno in varno zdravstveno oskrbo.

Title:DELIVERY OF THE PATIENT RIGHT TO ADEQUATE, GOOD-QUALITY AND SAFE HEALTH CARE-FROM A NURSING PERSPECTIVE
Abstract:Theoretical points of departure: The Patient Rights Act, as adopted, does not necessarily guarantee the actual exercise of patient rights at high levels. Because their primary concern is centred around good treatment results, patients as individuals receiving health care are in a different situation compared to health care workers. This diploma thesis adopts the health care worker perspective in exploring the importance of guaranteeing the patient right to adequate, good-quality and safe health care. Through a research it also observes the health care team’s awareness and knowledge of patient rights. Methodology of research: The methodology applied was quantitative data analysis. A questionnaire consisting of four sections with close-ended questions was distributed. The research was conducted in July 2016, in a public health institution in Slovenia. The survey was completed by 55 randomly selected health staff members working at different levels within the institution in question. Results: We found the respondents are well aware of the significance of adequate, good-quality and safe health care, which they actually deliver in practice. Respondents have demonstrated positive professional attitude based on knowledge and adherence to professional and ethical standards. The health team staff members provide adequate, good-quality and safe health care. They are, however, interested in receiving more safe health care training. Conclusion: Patients can legitimately expect that health care workers will engage proactively in exercising patient rights. This is the only way forward to build a partnership that will potentially lead to better health care and treatment effects in general.
