Title:Sinteza in karakterizacija Bi2WO6 nanodelcev

Abstract:Diplomsko delo nam prikazuje študijo ultrazvočne sinteze nanodelcev bizmutovega volframata Bi2WO6. Sintezo smo izvedli pod različnimi pH pogoji ter z različnimi reagenti za uravnavo pH. Uporabili smo raztopino natrijevega hidroksida in raztopino amoniaka. Ugotovili smo, da želenega produkta ne dobimo, če sintezo opravljamo v kislih pogojih, ali pa v zelo bazičnih – pH nad 12. Pri nevtralnem pH-ju so naš produkt nanodelci NaNO3. Želen rezultat dobimo le, če je raztopina uravnana na pH območje od 8 do 12, produkt pa mora biti sušen na 300 °C vsaj za eno uro. Dobljene nanodelce smo karakterizirali z meritvijo na rentgenskem praškovnem difraktometru, s pomočjo katerega smo jim tudi določili velikost. Nekaterim primerom smo nadalje naredili tudi termogravimetrično analizo. Ultrazvočna sinteza je hitra in učinkovita ter energijsko zelo varčna. Postaja vse prepoznavnejša metoda v znanstvenih krogih.

Title:Synthesis and characterization of Bi2WO6 nanoparticles
Abstract:The idea behind this bachelor thesis was to study the ultrasonic synthesis of bismuth tungstate Bi2WO6 nanoparticles. The synthesis was carried out under different pH conditions and with different reagents for pH adjustment. We used the solution of sodium hydroxide and ammonia solution. The results present a very high interest, since we find out, that the desired product can not be obtained if the synthesis is preformed in acidic or highly alkaline, pH above 12, conditions. If pH is neutral, NaNO3 nanoparticles are our product. The desired result is obtained only if the solution is adjusted to pH range from 8 to 12 and the product is dried at 300 °C for at least one hour. The resulting nanoparticles were characterized and determined by X-ray powder diffractometer, which we also used to determine the size of particles. We have furthermore established some of the examples with thermogravimetric analysis. Ultrasonic synthesis is fast, efficient and very energy saving method, which is becoming increasingly recognizable in scientific circles.
