Abstract:
Varnostni pas kot osnovni varnostni element vozila zmanjšuje možnost za hujše telesne ali celo smrtne poškodbe v primeru prometne nesreče. Napačna uporaba ali celo neuporaba varnostnega pasu pri uporabnikih osebnih avtomobilov tako predstavlja varnostno tveganje. Nepripetost v Sloveniji še vedno znaša okoli 15 %, zato se državne institucije z osveščanjem voznikov in potnikov trudijo to statistiko izboljšati. V diplomskem delu smo predstavili pomen varnostnega pasu ter analizirali in primerjali statistične podatke in podatke raziskave, opravljene z anketnim vprašalnikom in terenskim opazovanjem prometa. Na podlagi pridobljenih podatkov smo lahko podali predloge za izboljšanje stanja uporabe varnostnih pasov na naših cestah.

ANALYSIS OF SEAT BELT USAGE IN CARS
Abstract:
Seat belt is a basic safety element in a vehicle. Proper usage, in case of a collision, reduces the chance of severe bodily injuries or even death. Nonuse or improper usage of seat belt is considered a safety hazard for drivers and passengers. The percentage of nonuse of car safety belt in Slovenia is still around 15 % and that is the reason why public institutions are making awareness campaigns. In this thesis we are introducing the importance of seat belt usage, analyzing statistical data and comparing it to research data, we acquired through questionnaire and fieldwork. On the basis of the collected data, we could make suggestions to improve the seat belt usage on our roads.
