Abstract:V cestnem prometu je ena temeljnih dejavnikov kakovosti vsakdanjega življenja prometna varnost. Zakaj? S primerjavo napisane zakonodaje za delovanje šol vožnje in usposabljanje prihodnjih voznikov motornih vozil primerja poučevanje v šoli vožnje in v programu dodatnega usposabljanja voznikov začetnikov in vadbe varne vožnje. Ugotavlja vpliv šole vožnje na udeležence v prometu oziroma na prihodnje voznike. Potrkati želi na vest prihodnjim voznikom in voznikom nasploh ter jih spodbuditi k zavestnemu obnašanju in upoštevanju cestnoprometnih predpisov in k pravilnemu reševanju morebitnih negativnih situacij oziroma preprečitvi prometnih nesreč. V zaključku so predstavljeni nekateri že uvedeni ukrepi ter predlogi za izboljšanje varnosti v cestnem prometu, kot so uvedba samostojnega predmeta o prometni vzgoji že v osnovni šoli, predlog za zavestne kršitelje pod vplivom alkohola, sekcijsko merjenje na kritičnih odsekih in dodatna prometna signalizacija.

Title:Inportance of driving schools for road users
Abstract:In road transport, one of the key elements of daily life quality is road safety. Why? Hardly a day goes by without us being mobile. Naturally, mobility brings numerous consequences, such as road accidents. How can each individual and organisations, such as driving schools, contribute to greater safety or, in other words, how can we guarantee a higher safety level? In this thesis, we present the statistics of road accidents between 2010 and 2015, their most frequent causes, the statistics of victims and their consequences. We compare the legislation for the operation of driving schools, the training of future motor vehicles’ drivers, lessons in driving schools and the programme of additional training of new drivers with the safe driving lessons. We study how driving schools influence road users and future drivers. Moreover, we wish to appeal to the conscience of future and other drivers and encourage them to behave responsibly and comply with the road traffic rules as well as to address possible negative situations properly and prevent road accidents. We conclude this thesis with a presentation of some measures already in place and suggestions for improving road safety, such as the introduction of a new subject of road education in primary schools, proposal for those knowingly driving under the influence of alcohol, sectional measurements in critical areas and additional traffic signs.
