Title:Prezentacije različnosti med ljudmi v učbenikih in delovnih zvezkih od 1. do 5. razreda osnovne šole

Abstract:V magistrskem delu smo se osredotočili na razlike med ljudmi. Cilj je bil raziskati zastopanost grafičnih in tekstovnih prezentacij različnosti med ljudmi v učbenikih in delovnih zvezkih za spoznavanje okolja in družbe od 1. do 5. razreda osnovne šole. Različnost med ljudmi se je v naši raziskavi nanašala na narodnostno, rasno, etnično in versko pripadnost, spolno usmerjenost in družine ter hendikepiranost. V empirični raziskavi smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo empiričnega raziskovanja. Raziskovalni vzorec je zajemal 39 učbenikov in delovnih zvezkov za spoznavanje okolja in družbo, podatke pa smo zbrali z analizo dokumentov. Ugotovitve kažejo, da se grafične in tekstovne prezentacije narodnostne, rasne in etnične pripadnosti pojavljajo pogosteje kot prezentacije verske pripadnosti. V večini analiziranih učbenikov in delovnih zvezkov se pojavljajo grafične in tekstovne prezentacije nuklearne družine, medtem ko se prezentacije družin z istospolnima partnerjema ne pojavijo nikoli. Tudi ostali tipi družin se pojavljajo redkeje kot nuklearna družina. Prav tako se v večini učbenikov in delovnih zvezkov pojavi prezentacija heteroseksualnega para, medtem ko je homoseksualni zastopan le enkrat. Grafične in tekstovne prezentacije, ki se nanašajo na hendikepiranost oseb, se skoraj v vseh prezentacijah nanašajo na telesno prizadete osebe. V šolah skoraj ni več razreda, ki ne bi imel vsaj enega hendikepiranega otroka, otroka druge narodnosti, Roma ali otroka, ki je pripadnik druge verske skupnosti. Učbeniki in delovni zvezki se vedno znova posodabljajo, zato bi bil čas, da se verska pripadnost, tematika istospolnih skupnosti in duševno prizadetih oseb vključuje v učbenike in delovne zvezke pogosteje. Magistrsko delo prikazuje grafične in tekstovne prezentacije različnosti med ljudmi v učbenikih in delovnih zvezkih za spoznavanje okolja in družbe, zato bi lahko to delo pomembno vplivalo na nadaljnje snovanje učbenikov in delovnih zvezkov za spoznavanje okolja in družbe od 1. do 5. razreda osnovne šole.

Title:Presenting the Diversity of People in Textbooks and Workbooks from the 1st to the 5th Grade
Abstract:The master thesis focuses on differences between people. The goal was to research the representation of diversity in graphical and textual presentations of people in study books and workbooks for Environmental science from the 1st to the 5th grade of primary schools. The diversities we applied to were nationalities, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, families, and disabilities. The empirical research used the descriptive method of research. The research sample included 39 study books and workbooks for the Environmental science, the data was collected with an analysis of the documents. The findings show that the graphical and textual presentations of national, racial and ethnical affiliation appear more frequently than presentations of religious affiliation. In most analysed study books and workbooks there are graphical and textual presentations of a nuclear family, while there are no presentations of the same-sex families. Other family-types appear more rarely than the nuclear family. In most study books and workbooks there are presentations of heterosexual couples, while there is only one case of a homosexual couple. Graphical and textual presentations that apply to people with disabilities almost only apply to physically disabled people. In schools nowadays most classes have at least one student with disabilities, a child of a different nationality, Romany, or a child that belongs to a different religious community. Study books and workbooks get updated all the time, and it is time to include religious affiliation, the themes of same-sex communities, and mentally disabled people in study books and workbooks more frequently. The master thesis presents graphical and textual representations of diversities among people in the study books and workbooks for the Environmental science. This is why this thesis could have an important impact on the future updates of the study books and workbooks for the Environmental science from the 1st to the 5th grade of primary schools.
