Title:Numerična simulacija kavitacijskih razmer v Venturijevem kanalu

Abstract:V diplomski nalogi je opisana računalniška simulacija kavitacijskih razmer v Venturijevem kanalu, ki je bil eksperimentalno preizkušen v Laboratoriju za vodne in turbinske stroje Univerze v Ljubljani. Namen diplomske naloge je bil odkriti kavitacijske strukture, ki so se pojavljale med eksperimentom. Za simulacijo smo uporabili komercialni program Ansys Fluent, pri čemer smo uporabili turbulentni model RNG k-ε in upoštevali dvofazni homogeni tok z ustreznim kavitacijskim modelom. Mrežo Venturijevega kanala smo naredili s komercialnim programom za mreženje ICEM. Izračunane rezultate smo primerjali z rezultati eksperimenta in jih komentirali. Končni rezultati simulacije so pokazali, da se ujemajo z rezultati eksperimenta.

Title:Numerical simulation of cavitating conditions in the Venturi channel
Abstract:This thesis deals with a numerical simulation of cavitating conditions in the Venturi channel that was experimentally tested in the Laboratory for Water and Turbine Machines at the University of Ljubljana. The purpose of this work was to find the cavitation structures that occurred during the experiment. For the simulation, the Ansys Fluent software and the RNG k-ε turbulence model were applied. Taken into consideration was a homogeneous two-phase flow with a suitable cavitation model. The ICEM software was used to generate the Venturi channel mesh. The calculated results were discussed and compared with the results of the experiment. The final results obtained from the simulation were consistent with the results of the experiment.
