Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava področje uporabe neporušnih preiskav pri vzdrževanju letal. Predstavljeni sta vizualna metoda in metoda testiranja s tekočimi penetranti. Obširneje je opisana in raziskana metoda preiskovanja z vrtinčnimi tokovi. Poleg predstavljenih osnovnih pravil in principa delovanja metode so opisane tudi prednosti in omejitve te metode. Vplivni faktorji rezultatov so razdeljeni na tiste, ki neposredno vplivajo na vrtinčne tokove in na faktorje, ki vplivajo na pretvornike vrtinčnih tokov. Prikazana sta dva primera iz prakse, s katerima so podrobneje opisani postopki preiskav. Dokumentirana sta s slikovnim gradivom, ki neposredno prikazuje opisane postopke, instrumente in najpogostejše indikacije. Priloge sestavlja izvleček iz vzdrževalnega programa in poročilo o opravljenem pregledu.

Title:Eddy current testing in aircraft maintenance
Abstract:The thesis deals with the scope of nondestructive tests in aircraft maintenance. It presents basic principles of visual testing and liquid penetrant testing. It devotes more attention to eddy current testing. In addition to describing basic rules and working principles, it also presents advantages and limitations of this method. Factors affecting results are divided in those that directly affect eddy currents and those affecting eddy current transducers. Two practical examples are included to describe testing procedures more in detail. They are documented with photographs showing the procedure, instruments, tools and most common indications. The appendices include an extract from maintenance program and report from inspection.
