Abstract:	V diplomski nalogi sem predstavila periodni sistem elementov z dveh vidikov oz. iz dveh delov. V kemijskem delu diplomske naloge sem opisala zgodovino oz. nastanek in zgradbo periodnega sistema. Večji poudarek je na predstavitvi V. in VI. skupine, njunih elementov in njihovih spojin. V tehničnem delu naloge pa sem se osredotočila na delitev kovinskih in nekovinski gradiv, kjer sem poudarek dala nekovinskemu gradivu – lesu. Opisala sem zgradbo lesa in njegove lastnosti. Kot bodoča učiteljica kemije in tehnike, sem želela združiti oba predmeta, z ne samo teoretičnim opisom, pač pa tudi praktičnim izdelkom. Prav zato sem se odločila za periodni sistem elementov ter pripravila vso potrebno dokumentacijo za izdelavo. Tako lahko učenci tudi sami, npr. pri izbirnem predmetu Obdelava gradiv – les, izdelajo svoj periodni sistem elementov in na ta način poglobijo svoje znanje kemije in tehnike.

Title:	Periodic table
Abstract:	The diploma paper presents the periodic table of elements from two point of views or rather two parts. The chemistry part of the paper describes the history or the origin and the structure of the periodic table. The higher emphasis is on the presentation of the fifth and the sixth group, their elements and their compounds. The technical part of the paper focuses on division of metal and non-metal materials, where the emphasis was on the non-metal material – wood. Here, the composition of the wood and its characteristics were described. As a future teacher of Chemistry and Technology, I wanted to join both subjects, not merely with theoretical description, but also through a practical product. That is why I chose the periodic table of elements and prepared all necessary documentation for the production. That way, the students can make their own periodic table of elements in e.g. optional subject Material treatment, and by that, they deepen their knowledge of Chemistry and Technology.
