Title:VLOGA VZGOJITELJA PRI SPODBUJANJU SOCIALNEGA RAZVOJA OTROK Z VIDIKA TRAJNOSTNEGA RAZVOJA

Abstract:Dandanašnji veliko staršev svoje predšolske otroke vključi v vrtec. Bodisi zaradi ritma, v katerega so ujeti medtem ko skušajo preživeti družino, ali pa zgolj zato, ker želijo otroku omogočiti medvrstniško izkušnjo. Tako ima vrtec in strokovni delavci v njem veliko in pomembno vlogo v življenju in dnevu predšolskih otrok. Ne le da so vzgojitelji z otroki večji del dneva, hkrati je to tudi najbolj kakovosten del dneva. Otroci so takrat spočiti in polni energije, kar je velik potencial za delo vzgojitelja. V diplomski nalogi smo želeli preučiti in z raziskavo opredeliti vlogo vzgojitelja pri spodbujanju socialnega razvoja otrok z vidika trajnostnega razvoja. Diplomska naloga je sestavljena iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu sta najprej predstavljena vzgoja in izobraževanje za trajnostni razvoj (VITR), znotraj tega še vloga in pomen ter smernice VITR. V poglavju o socialnem razvoju otroka smo se podrobneje razpisali o pomenu in spodbujanju socialnega razvoja otrok. Sledi poglavje o vlogi vzgojitelja, v njem pa obravnavamo komunikacijo in sodelovanje med vzgojitelji in otroki ter med vzgojitelji in starši. Sledi del o postavljanju mej in pravil ter opredelitev glede reševanja konfliktov. Za konec teoretičnega dela diplomske naloge smo predstavili še metode dela, ki so primerne za spodbujanje socialnega razvoja otrok z vidika trajnostnega razvoja. V empiričnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati raziskave o vlogi vzgojitelja pri spodbujanju socialnega razvoja otrok z vidika trajnostnega razvoja. Anketirali smo 100 vzgojiteljev, pomočnikov vzgojitelja in drugih strokovnih delavcev, ki delujejo v skupinah drugega starostnega obdobja. Podatke smo zbrali z anketnim vprašalnikom, jih analizirali s pomočjo programa SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), dobljene rezultate pa predstavili v tabelah. S pomočjo Kruskal-Wallisovega preizkusa razlik smo ugotavljali statistično značilne razlike vpliva vzgojiteljev na socialni razvoj otrok z vidika trajnostnega razvoja, vpliva sodelovanja s starši, vpliva strategije reševanja konfliktov in pristope, ki se jih vzgojitelji pri tem poslužujejo.

Title:THE ROLE OF THE PRE-SCHOOL TEACHER IN PROMOTING SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Abstract:Nowadays, many parents integrate their preschool children in kindergartens. May that be due to the tempo of life which parents are caught into while trying to support the family and make the living or simply because they want their child to enable peer experience. That is the reason the workers in kindergartens (teachers, teacher’s assistants and others) have an important role in the life and the day of preschool children. Not only the teachers are with the children most of the day, it is also the most qualitative part of the day. That time of the day children are fresh and full of energy, which has a great potential for educators’ work. In this dissertation, we study and research to define the role of the teachers in promoting social development of children in terms of sustainable development. The dissertation consists of theoretical and empirical work. The theoretical part first presents the education for sustainable development (ESD), the role and importance of ESD and ESD guidelines. This is followed by a chapter on the social development of children; we wrote about the importance of the social development and promoting the social development of children in more detail. The second part of the theoretical part contains a chapter on the role of teachers, which includes a topic on communication and cooperation between teachers and children and between teachers and parents. Within the themes of communication and cooperation we also discussed setting the limits and rules in educating and opted for the conflicts solving. To conclude the theoretical part of the dissertation we also presented methods which are suitable for promoting social development of children in terms of sustainable development. In the empirical part, the results of the research on the role of the teachers in promoting social development of children in terms of continual development are presented. We interviewed 100 teachers, teacher assistants and other professionals working in the second age group. Data were collected through a questionnaire, analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) and presented by the results in the tables. The Kruskal-Wallis test was used to determine statistically significant difference in the impact of teachers on the social development of children in terms of continual development, the impact of cooperation with parents, the impact of conflict solving strategies and approaches the teachers make use of.
