S pomočjo dveh slabovidnih udeleženk srednje starosti smo preizkušali primernost grafičnih tehnik, ki jih učitelji likovne umetnosti vnašajo v pouk in jih uspešno realizirajo s slepimi in slabovidnimi učenci.

Title:APPROPRIATE CHOICE OF ARTISTIC GRAPHIC TECHNIQUES WHEN WORKING WITH BLIND OF VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE
Abstract:This thesis presents the methods and procedures of artistic printmaking which are a guideline to a companion or a teacher that works with students or persons who are blind or visually impaired. Through the study we provide examples of prints that were created by the blind or visually impaired students, and we analyze them. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part the thesis presents key information covering the field of vision, the loss of it, and the adaptation of the brain to the created situation. The second part presents the theoretical work of public institutions responsible for the education of blind and visually impaired children, specifically touching the insight into creating art by the visually impaired student in class. Through the examples of the blind artists we are given information about the works of art created by the blind or visually impaired artists. We also present personalized world-famous works of art that can be found in well-known galleries. The theoretical part is finished with the presentation of the selected graphic techniques, which were the basis for the design of the research work of the thesis. In the empirical part we present the results of research, which was conducted in the Institute for Blind and Partially Sighted Children in Ljubljana, in short ZSSM Ljubljana. With the help of two visually impaired participants who are middle-aged, we tested the suitability of graphical techniques used by art teachers introduced into teaching and have successfully realized the blind and visually impaired students.
