Keywords:balet, ples, umetnost, zgodovina, plesna zvrst balet, klasična glasba.

Title:RECOGNISABILITY OF BALLET WITH PUPILS AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Abstract:The graduation thesis entitled Recognisability of ballet with pupils at elementary school is composed of a theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part we give a history of the ballet since it emerged in the renaissance period in the 15th century, up to the present day and the 21st century. We also introduced the development of ballet in Slovenia, and explored how many music schools offering ballet, there are in Slovenia. We have reviewed two lessons plan and tried to find out to what extent the ballet occurs in the curricula of elementary schools. We continued describing the genres of ballet, ballet steps, ballet posture and ballet clothing. In the empirical part we present the results of the survey, which was carried out in five primary schools. In the survey, carried out in March 2016, there were 171 pupils in nine classes. The results were gained by using a questionnaire. The purpose of the survey was to explore the visibility of the art of ballet in the ninth grade pupils and their attitude to the ballet in general. With the survey we came to the conclusion that the vast majority of the ninth grade pupils is not engaged in dancing. Furthermore, the survey has shown that the students are familiar with the ballet genre of dancing, but do not show any interest in it and neither are they interested in listening to classical music.
Keywords:ballet, dance, art, history, ballet dance genre, classical music.
