Keywords:etnologija, socialni položaj žensk v prvi polovici 20. stoletja, delovne migracije, dialektologija, primorska narečna skupina, šavrinski govor

Title:ŠAVRINKA IN FAMILY AND COMMUNITY AND HER SPEACH
Abstract:In this thesis, Šavrinka is discussed from ethnological and dialectological point of view. For better orientation, the historical and social context is initially presented, which presents the conditions in Slovenian Istria, where Šavrinka lived and worked. It should be noted that for the purpose of the thesis, historical facts are simplified, but still authentic. All the relevant facts for the purpose of the thesis are included. Since there isn’t any united nomination of who Šavrinka in the literature is, different definitions are shown. The field survey was carried out, which was looking for answers to questions about how people today see this travelling merchant, what did she do, where did she live, what was her family and her speech like. The purpose of the project is also to compare Šavrinka to other women who have lived in Slovenia at that time, because in this context she was quite different from others. Šavrinka communicated in a dialectal speech of her time, so her speech is placed in a dialectological context, and as there are many new researches recently in this area, some of the words also serve as one of Slovenian Istrian sub dialect group, called Šavrini subdialect.
Keywords:ethnology, the social position of women in the first half of the 20th century, labour migration, dialectology, dialect group primorska, Šavrini speech
