Title:Fuels in Agriculture and their Changes between 2005 and 2020
Abstract:In the graduation thesis, we have described a development of fuels in the period from 2005 to 2020, their origin, and researched the shares of individual motor fuels in agriculture. Further, the remaining alternative motor fuels for motor vehicles are presented, their sales volume, methods of storage, and transportation to farms. With the survey conducted in 16 locations with 120 respondents, we have established that in agriculture the most commonly used fuels remain diesel and gasoline. Furthermore, it has been established that the farmers have a good knowledge of the legislation on transport of fuels, but have considerably less knowledge on the changes in fuels´ property legislation, which directly affects the functioning of agricultural machines. In the composition patterns of the most commonly used fuels in agriculture (diesel and gasoline), we found out that in the last fifteen years there have been changes in the characteristics with a negative impact on the environment (sulphur, lead, various aromatics, etc.). Projections indicate that in the future there will be even major changes, which will also apply to drive generators. The results of the survey indicate that farmers are aware of the problem of the fuel changes, even though they do not know how it will be solved. The most probable solution is modernization or replacement of the machinery, which will reduce the negative impacts on the environment.
