Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo preučevali vpliv družinskega in šolskega okolja na posameznikov razvoj bolezni odvisnosti. Učitelji in strokovni delavci so redko prepoznali problem odvisnosti v njihovih družinah.

Title:THE INFLUENCE OF ADDICTION IN FAMILIES ON CHILDREN IN THE FIRST AND SECOND CYCLE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL
Abstract:The subject of study in my graduation thesis was the influence of the family and school milieu on the development of one's disease of addiction. Data were gained with the help of survey questionnaires that were dispersed to people being treated in Centres for addiction prevention in Celje and Maribor. On the basis of the analysis of the answers, obtained by 173 people being treated for the disease of addiction, mostly men between the age of 18 and 45, we have gained answers to the questions about family addiction and the responses of school social workers and other school workers to the respondents' problems. During the process of gaining those answers, our focus of interest were the differences between the two age groups, the elder and the younger (the set boundary was at 40 years). The established fact was that the major part of the respondents did not come into contact with drugs within their families. The ones that lived in families where there was alcohol abuse, the person with that particular problem was mostly the father. The respondents regarded living with an addict already in the early childhood as something negative. Due to their family situations they had problems in school with learning and with interpersonal relations as well. The problems with addiction in the aforementioned families were rarely recognized by the teachers and other school technical workers. The most part of the respondents did not come into contact with drugs when attending primary school. The ones that had this particular experience were mostly part of the younger age group. They were of the opinion that, when attending primary school, there was a lack of preventive activities regarding drug abuse and that suitable help by the employed staff would have decreased the chances for the later development of the disease of addiction.
