Naslov:Analysis mobbing and burnout in sale function in pharmaceutical industry
Opis:This master's thesis deals with the problem of mobbing and burnout among pharmaceutical sales representatives in the pharmaceutical industry. In the theoretical part, we presented the various ways how pharmaceutical sales representatives provide doctors with relevant information about medicines, the work and management of pharmaceutical sales representatives, the incidence of mobbing, stress and burnout, and we investigated the causes and consequences of these for the victims and for the organisation. In the empirical part, we investigated, by conducting a survey, the prevalence of mobbing and burnout among those pharmaceutical sales representatives in pharmaceutical companies in Slovenia who were employed before 2008, i.e. before the economic crisis, and still worked as pharmaceutical sales representatives at the time of the economic crisis, i.e. in the period from 2008 to 2016. Data were collected by means of a questionnaire on a random sample of pharmaceutical sales representatives. The questionnaire was conducted anonymously and 71 duly completed questionnaires were returned. The study showed that the prevalence of mobbing and burnout among pharmaceutical sales representatives was higher during the economic crisis than before the crisis. The pharmaceutical sales representatives are more often mobbed by their superiors and by the senior management. We found that the prevalence of mobbing among pharmaceutical sales representatives has a significant impact on their health. We also found that the prevalence of mobbing is greater among female pharmaceutical sales representatives than by their male colleagues.
