Title:THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IN BLOKE OVER TIME
Abstract:The first part of the thesis The Educational System in Bloke Over Time introduces Bloke as a municipality and plateau. The introduction covers an ecological, socio-geographic and historical overview of Bloke, as well as the local sports and cultural activities and events. The main part summarises the development of the school in Bloke from its very beginning until today. The main points of interest were the records from the school chronicles of the Historical archive of Ljubljana dating between 1828 and 1968, which is why this period is researched and described the most. The thesis describes how the school changed over time, how it expanded from a one-class school to a two-, three-, four- and six-class school, and when the elementary school and the lower secondary school were merged. The thesis also researches the chronicles of the subsidiary schools in Krajič and Šivče, and describes their activities and events over different periods. The chronicles were a rich source of information. The focus was on the construction of new school buildings and their renovation, the organisation of lessons, the planning of the curriculum in a given period, various factors that often hampered lessons, holidays and other occasions that were celebrated during the periods considered, the establishment and functioning of various school societies, and the impact of religion and war on the conditions at the school.
