Abstract:Živimo v času, v katerem si življenja brez sodobnih medijev oziroma informacijske tehnologije ne znamo več predstavljati.

Title:Modern media in the function of developing art creativity in primary school
Abstract:We live in a time when we cannot any longer imagine life without modern media or information technology. With increasing frequency, modern media are also being included in education, since they diversify school classes, motivate pupils for cooperation and enable them faster and more efficient learning. The purpose of this research was to find out whether continuous inclusion of modern media in Art Education classes influences the pupils’ art creativity and their development of art and design. Research included 245 pupils who attended the 5th grade of primary school. Results showed statistically significant differences between the experimental and the control group in the final level of art creativity, namely in the final level of art flexibility. Besides that there also exists a tendency of differences in the final level of elaboration and redefinition. Furthermore, the experimental and the control group also showed statistically significant differences in the final level of development of art and design, namely in the multiplication of lines. In addition, there exists a tendency in using a direction for creating space. Differences between the two groups are also statistically significant regarding the overall result of the final level of development of art and design, favouring the experimental group. Results show that using modern media in Art Education classes is reasonable, because it positively effects pupils’ development of art and design.
