Abstract:V diplomskem delu z naslovom Ločitev otrok od staršev ob prihodu v vrtec sem raziskovala značilnosti otrokovega prihoda v vrtec. Zanimali so me čas prihoda, otrokovi odzivi ob prihodu v vrtec, ljubkovalne igrače, ki jih otroci prinašajo s seboj in način vključevanja otrok v skupino.

Title:Dealing with Kindergarten Separation Anxiety upon Arrival
Abstract:In my diploma thesis, entitled Dealing with Kindergarten Separation Anxiety upon Arrival, I researched the characteristics of children’s arrival at kindergarten. I was interested in the time of arrival, children’s reactions at arrival, cuddly toys children bring with themselves and the way of integration into the group. The diploma thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part I presented the kindergarten as an institution and its importance for children's development, daily routines, the influence of the kindergarten teacher at arrival, the importance of cooperation between the teacher and the parents and the influence of the cuddly toys, which children bring to the kindergarten. I focused on infant-parent attachment, which affects separation upon arrival. In the empirical part I presented the results of the research that was undertaken with the questionnaire method. The questionnaires were distributed in different kindergartens throughout Prekmurje region. One hundred parents took part. The purpose of the research was to find out the characteristics of children’s arrival in the kindergarten and their integration into the group. The analysis showed that most of the children are brought to the kindergarten at about the same time. Children mostly don't cry at separation time. It is surprising, that most children don't bring a cuddly toy, and get separated from their parents with a greeting. Kindergarten teachers ease separation anxiety with attentional shift.
