Abstract:	Dandanes nam nevarnosti pretijo na različnih področjih, tudi tam, kjer jih ne pričakujemo ali se jih ne zavedamo. Ena izmed teh nevarnosti so hekerji in njihova dejanja, ki nas lahko oškodujejo brez naše vednosti. Da se lahko pred stvarmi zaščitimo, se moramo najprej zavedati njihove prisotnosti. V diplomski nalogi smo se posvetili hekerjem in njihovem delovanju. Glede na splošno znanje smo si postavili hipoteze v zvezi z obravnavano temo, ki smo jih na koncu naloge potrdili ali ovrgli in jih predstavili z rezultati raziskovalnega dela. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili storilce in načine, s katerimi se lotevajo nas in naših računalniških sistemov. Zajeli smo tudi poglavje njihove zgodovine in začetkov ter kakšne posledice puščajo za sabo. Omenili smo tudi zakonodajo v Sloveniji, ki se je razvijala kot posledica in ukrep zoper njih. V raziskovalnem delu smo s pomočjo ankete ugotavljali, koliko so povprečni uporabniki seznanjeni z omenjeno tematiko. Predvsem nas je zanimalo zavedanje o nevarnosti ter če se ljudje znajo zaščititi pred napadi in njihovimi posledicami. Rezultate smo predstavili z grafi in komentarji.

Title:	ATTACKS ON INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Abstract:	Nowadays we face several hazards arising in various fields; among those are also the unexpected ones or the ones we are not aware of. Hackers and their actions are one of these hazards that can affect us without our knowledge. In order to protect ourselves against hackers’ actions, we first need to be aware of their presence. In this graduation thesis we mainly focused on hackers and their work. Based on common knowledge we formed hypotheses regarding the topic, which were either confirmed or rejected according to the results acquired during the research part of this thesis. In the theoretical part we presented the profile of cyber criminals and various ways they use for attacking our computer systems. Furthermore, we included a chapter on the beginnings of hacking attacks and their history and discussed the effects of such security violation. Moreover, we described the legislation regarding hacking attacks in Slovenia, which was implemented as a consequence of these attacks with the intention to prevent such activities. The research part of the thesis includes the analysis of results, acquired through a conducted survey. The main aim of the survey was to determine how well aware are the average consumers of the hacking attack hazard and whether they are familiar with ways to protect themselves against these attacks and their consequences. The acquired data were interpreted with the use of charts followed by comments and results analysis
