Title:VKLJUČEVANJE VZGOJNO IZOBRAŽEVALNIH USTANOV V PROGRAM TRAJNOSTNEGA RAZVOJA

Abstract:Program Ekošola je mednarodno uveljavljen program okoljske vzgoje in izobraževanja, namenjen spodbujanju in večanju ozaveščenosti o trajnostnem razvoju med otroki, učenci, dijaki in študenti z njihovim vzgojno izobraževalnim programom ter z udejstvovanjem v lokalni skupnosti in širše. Cilj diplomskega dela je dokazati, da program Ekošola pomaga spodbujati zdravo življenje in večjo skrb za okolje, v katerem živimo, ter da obstoječe članice programa pogosteje izvajajo aktivnosti kot nečlanice. Zato smo opravili raziskavo, ki smo jo ločili v dve skupini, in sicer na članice in nečlanice programa Ekošola. Pripravili smo dva vprašalnika, ki smo ju razposlali na izobraževalne ustanove po vseh regijah Slovenije. Z raziskavo smo ugotovili, da so pri večini aktivnosti bolj dejavne članice programa Ekošola, ki jim skrb za varovanje okolja tudi več pomeni. Na podlagi rezultatov raziskave predlagamo, da se v izobraževalnih ustanovah izvaja več aktivnosti, ki učijo o pomembnosti varovanja okolja in s tem pripomorejo k skrbi za kakovost življenja nas in naših naslednikov.

Title:INVOLVEMENT OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Abstract:International programme EcoSchools aims to raise students’ awareness of sustainable development through activities in the study curriculum and engagement in the local community. The aim of the presented research is to prove, that the EcoSchools programme empowers the healthy lifestyle and raises the environmental awareness. Our goal is to prove that members of the EcoSchools programme are more active in sustainable actions than the institutions that are not involved in the EcoSchools programme. Therefore the research includes two groups of educational institutions: members and non-members. Two surveys were developed and sent out to educational institutions across all Slovenian regions. The results show that in most of the sustainability and environmental activities, members of the EcoSchools programme are more active than other educational institutions. It is therefore evident, that members of the EcoSchools programme are in general more aware of environmental issues. Based on the results, we propose that the importance of environmental issues should be emphasized in diverse activities and performed more often at educational institutions to raise the concerns for the quality of life for us and our successors.
