Abstract:Pričujoči prispevek opisuje razne pristope k določanju ravnovesnih realnih deviznih tečajev: od teorije paritete kupne moči, ki je najbolj enostavna in najbolj uporabljena teorija na tem področju, do bolj sofisticiranih metod, ki jih v zadnjem času uporabljata Mednarodni denarni sklad in Evropska centralna banka. Vključili pa smo tudi model oblikovanja realnega deviznega tečaja na osnovi keynesianskega modela temeljnih ekonomskih spremenljivk.

Title:Alternative models of real exchange rates
Abstract:The paper describes different approaches to equilibrium real exchange rate determination. It starts off with purchasing power parity, the most simple and the most applied theory in this field, and continues with more sophisticated methods lately used by the International Monetary Fund and the European Central Bank. It closes by presenting the Keynesian model of real exchange rate determination based on economic fundamentals.
