Title:Rating economy growing corn on the farm Vavroš
Abstract:The key objective of our study is to present analysis of economics of maize production through the case study (model farm). In the first part, there is a presentation of the farm and description of the maize, based on which the economic viability of production is estimated. Further, there is a description of the sowing process, which starts with soil test, continues with fertilization, soil preparation, and pesticide use, and ends with harvesting. The financial result in this case study is negative since the total costs exceeded the total revenue, the main cause being the buying-in price of maize (in 2014 the buying-in price was EUR 115 per ton with 14% humidity).
