Kasneje smo se poglobili v sam proces pridobitve vozniškega dovoljenja in trenutnemu stanju prometa, prebivalstva, voznikov in prometnih nesreč v Gorenjski regiji. Življenja nas in naših otrok so neprecenljiva.

Title:EDUCATIONAL INFLUENCE ON THE TRAFFIC SAFETY IN GORENJSKA
Abstract:As a driver instructor with more than ten years of experience, I often ask myself if we are doing enough for our and our children’s safety. The thesis is limited to the Gorenjska region as it is our residence and here we are consequently daily exposed to the dangers of local roads. In the theoretical part we presented the notion of traffic and training, with this said we have to realize that through time the traffic has evolved immensely and constant education needs to be provided to all participants in the daily commute. With traffic, we studied the word itself, its meaning and what falls under it. Then we focused on road traffic as it is the most related to training of motor vehicle drivers. In the training part we tried to present the theory based on didactic principles and learning methods. We presented how the path to knowledge, the marking and the structure of the final driving exams look like. In the empiric part we decided to analyze the current state of category “B” driver’s training, which presents the basic entry point for most people, as living without a valid category “B” driver’s license is unimaginable. We dedicated a part to today’s education, who is making the rules and who is executing the trainings. Latter we dug deep in the process of acquiring the driver’s license, the current state of traffic, population and traffic accidents in the Gorenjska region. We also touched on the topic of educating driving instructors. Our and our children’s lives are priceless but when we look at the statistic of deaths and badly injured in car accidents questions start popping into our minds. Could we do more for our safety? What are the causes for this amount of fatal accidents? What are the consequences of a car accident, for us, the participants and the country? We have come to the conclusions that the driving instructor and the driver are the most responsible for a successfully passed driver exam and the general level of knowledge about traffic rules, that there are no big differences between driving schools in terms of equipment and that not all driving instructors provide the same quality of training. The criteria’s for deciding which driving school to choose are firstly the school service and secondly the price of practical training. Based on opinions of driving instructors we conclude that the marking of students is not always objective, that the markers don’t always have the same criteria’s and that the final grade depends also on the current mood of the marker. The basic difficulty of the exam is dependant strongly on the number of practical hours.
