Title:ANALIZA FAKTORJEV USPEŠNOSTI RAZVOJA IN TRŽENJA MOBILNIH APLIKACIJ IOS

Abstract:Število mobilnih aplikacij iOS se iz leta v leto nenehno povečuje. Podjetje Apple je junija 2013 navedlo, da obstaja na mobilni tržnici App Store preko 1,2 milijona iOS aplikacij. Objava le teh predstavlja izziv za ponudnika, saj lahko s preudarnim razvojem in trženjem aplikacija doseže veliko priljubljenost pri končnih uporabnikih. V magistrskem delu smo se osredotočili na faktorje, ki vplivajo na uspešnost razvoja in trženja mobilnih aplikacij iOS. Ti omogočajo ponudnikom, razvijalcem ali organizacijam, da jih razumejo in jim namenijo več pozornost. Upoštevanje teh lahko pripomore k večjemu uspehu aplikacije. Z metodo sistematičnega pregleda literature smo raziskali faktorje, ki vplivajo na uspešnost razvoja mobilnih aplikacij iOS. To so: (1) upoštevanje karakteristik kakovosti standarda ISO 25010 pri razvoju mobilnih aplikacij, (2) uporaba sistematičnega pristopa pri razvoju mobilnih aplikacij, (3) znanje za razvoj aplikacij, (4) motivacija ter (5) tehnologija in orodja. V drugem sklopu magistrskega dela smo z metodo študije primera identificirali faktorje, ki vplivajo na uspešnost trženja namensko razvite mobilne aplikacije InstaLucky. Pri tem smo pridobili naslednje faktorje: (1) prazniki, (2) dnevi v tednu, (3) del dneva (čas trženja), (4) geografska lokacija, (5) aktivnosti na družabnem omrežju Twitter in (6) objava novic na forumih. V delu smo omenjene faktorje opredelili, analizirali njihove vplive in jih opisali.

Title:AN ANALYSIS OF THE SUCCESS FACTORS AFFECTING THE DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING OF IOS MOBILE APPLICATIONS
Abstract:The number of iOS mobile applications continues to grow from year to year. According to Apple's publication from June 2013, the total number of applications available on the App Store tops 1.2 million. Submitting an application to the App Store is a challenge for the application provider. With wise mobile development and marketing, the application can become popular among end users. In this thesis we focus on the factors that influence the success of the development and marketing of iOS mobile applications. They allow providers, developers, or organizations to understand them and to give them more attention. Understanting these factors can help to increase the success of an application. A systematic literature review was conducted to study the factors that influence the success of the development of iOS mobile applications. According to the results of the systematic literature review following factors are important: (1) taking into account the characteristics of quality standard ISO 25010 when developing mobile applications, (2) use of a systematic approach in the development of mobile applications, (3) knowledge in application development, (4) motivation and (5) technology and tools. In the second part of the master thesis we conducted a case study in order to identify factors that affect the success of marketing of a mobile application InstaLucky, that was developed for the purpose of this study. Based on the case study, we identified the following factors: (1) holidays, (2) the days of the week, (3) part of the day (time of marketing), (4) geographic location, (5) activities on the social network Twitter and (6) the publication of the news in the forums. In this thesis, we identified and described factors, and analyzed their impacts.
