Vrsta gradiva:Diplomsko delo/naloga (mb11)
Zbrane podatke smo preučili, analizirali, sistematično uredili in grafično prikazali s pomočjo računalniškega programa Microsoft Word in Microsoft Excel s pomočjo grafov.

Naslov:Diet and nutrition of school children attending ballet classes
Opis:Theoretical starting-points: This Diploma Thesis discusses a healthy and balanced diet of children dealing with ballet, the location where pupils receive the most information regarding a healthy diet and the role and importance of the health-educational work of a nurse in the diet of children who dance in the ballet schools. In addition to that, the Diploma Thesis presents also a healthy and balanced diet for dancers, the ideal meals for dancers, healthy eating guidelines, and eating habits of pupils who are dealing with ballet. The study has been performed in order to discover whether the pupils who practice ballet eat according to the principles of a healthy and balanced diet and to determine the location where they receive the most information regarding the latter. Research methodology: In order to research the above mentioned questions a little further, the quantities working method has been used. An anonymous survey questionnaire has been distributed at the Fran Korun Koželjski Music School to the children who dance ballet in their leisure time. The collected data has been studied, analysed, systematically arranged, and graphically presented with the help of computer programmes (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel). Results: It has been determined that the pupils dealing with ballet eat according to the principles of a healthy and balanced diet, which is additionally confirmed by their average body mass index where the average of all age groups is within the limits of normal. We have also discovered that the young dancers receive the most information on a healthy and balanced diet from their parents and in schools and, what is very positive, also in ballet schools from their ballet teachers. One of our discoveries has also shown that the health education of children presents a key factor to good health. Namely, a nurse is also responsible for the promotion of health as she has to implement the principle of a healthy life in pupils. Conclusion: Our daily diet and the diet of recreation enthusiasts present the basic starting-point of a healthy and hygienic life. The question of diet is by all means a very important part of dancer's lifestyle from which his/hers success in profession depends on and the same goes also for the pupil’s advancement to a higher class in the ballet school. There are two important perspectives when we talk about the diet of pupils dealing with ballet: a proper diet based on knowledge of the process of food metabolism and the knowledge of nutrition and other substances and their correct mutual relationship in the eating of food. The role of a nurse in promotion of a healthy diet is a very important one, as individuals can learn about the factors that positively affect their health. The nature of health education demands that the operation complements and interacts with the pedagogical activity in a situation where the methods of education are used to encourage, persuade and raise awareness of pupils and adolescents.
