Opis: | The aim of diploma thesis Self-esteem of Kindergarten Teachers is to establish the self-esteem profile of kindergarten teachers. The first part of diploma thesis explains self-esteem structure in adulthood, its features and roles, positive as well as negative, discussed from theoretical point of view. The broad, important role of kindergarten teachers is being stressed.
It is followed by empirical findings based on a survey made in kindergartens. There are general, academic, physical, emotional and social self-esteem features questioned in the survey. Another aim was to establish the co-relation of age, education, and working experience to self-esteem of 100 kindergarten teachers, who were surveyed. The sample group was aged 18 – 54 years, average age 28 years. The survey was answered by 54 kindergarten teachers and 46 kindergarten teacher assistants. Results show that kindergarten teachers' self-esteem is positive, which is extremely important as they play crucial role in educating children. They are the role-model to children, can influence co-workers and parents, therefore it is very important that the kindergarten teacher maintains his or her positive, optimistic attitude to life. |
