Title:VZPOSTAVLJANJE KOMUNIKACIJSKEGA MOSTU Z UČENCI PRI UČITELJIH IN SVETOVALNIH DELAVCIH

Abstract:V pričujoči magistrski nalogi smo preučili, na kakšen način učitelji in svetovalni delavci razumejo pomen dobre komunikacije, s katerimi težavami se najpogosteje ukvarjajo, katere so obstoječe komunikacijske tehnike, ki jih uporabljajo pri svojem delu, katere so oblike vzpostavljenih komunikacijskih odnosov, kakšen je pogled na medsebojno sodelovanje in potrebe po nadaljnjem strokovnem izobraževanju in usposabljanju. V prvem delu naloge smo se osredotočili na opredelitev vzgojno-izobraževalne komunikacije, svetovanja, šolskega svetovalnega dela, posebno pozornost pa smo namenili tudi sodelovalnem odnosu med učitelji in svetovalnimi delavci ter potrebam po dodatnem strokovnem izobraževanju in usposabljanju. Pričujoča spoznanja so predstavljala izhodišče za empirično raziskavo, ki smo jo predstavili v drugem delu magistrskega dela. Po pregledu literature na temo komunikacije, smo za preučevanje posameznih razlik uporabili χ2-preizkus odvisnih zvez med spremenljivkami, Mann-Whitneyjev in Kruskal-Wallisov preizkus neodvisnih vzorcev. Nekatere od temeljnih ugotovitev raziskave, izvedene v maju 2014, v kateri je sodelovalo 56 učiteljev in 20 svetovalnih delavcev iz osnovnih šol v Koroški regiji, so naslednje: učitelji se pogosteje kot svetovalni delavci ukvarjajo s problemi, ki jih imajo učenci s sošolci; svetovalni delavci se pogosteje kot učitelji ukvarjajo z učenci, ki so jih na pogovor poslali drugi učitelji in ravnatelj; svetovalni delavci se pogosteje kot učitelji poslužujejo komunikacijskih tehnik poudarjanja pomembnih izjav, razjasnjevanja z vprašanji, aktivnega poslušanja in povzemanja oz. sumiranja; starejši učitelji pogosteje kot mlajši sodelujejo s svetovalnimi delavci; starejši svetovalni delavci pogosteje kot mlajši sodelujejo z učitelji; svetovalni delavci, ki so zaposleni krajši čas, pogosteje izražajo potrebo po dodatnem izobraževanju. V prihodnjih raziskavah bi bilo zanimivo preučiti omenjeno tematiko v širšem narodnem in mednarodnem kontekstu, vanje pa bi bilo v posameznih segmentih dobro vključiti še vidik učencev.

Title:Establishing communication bridge with children among school counselors and teachers
Abstract:In the given MA thesis we studied what the importance of good communication means to teachers and social workers, what problems they most commonly face, which communicative techniques they follow in their everyday work, what types of communicative relationships are there, and what their take on interdisciplinary cooperation and professional fulfilment is. In the first part of the MA thesis we focused on explaining the terms educational and pedagogic communication, counselling, school counselling. We especially focused on interdisciplinary cooperation of teachers and social workers and their needs for professional fulfilment classes and seminars. The following answers present the foundations for our empirical research, which was introduced in the second part of the MA thesis. After a comprehensive overview of the literature on the topic of communication we used the χ2- correlational experiment to study differences between specific variables, the Mann-Whitney, and the Kruskal-Wallis nonparametric test in our research. Here are some of the core findings of the research, carried out in May of 2014, with a representative sample of 56 teachers and 20 social workers from the regional Carinthian primary schools: teachers, more often than social workers, deal with problems their pupils have with their peers; social workers, more often than teachers, deal with pupils, that were sent to them by other teachers or the principle; social workers, more often than teachers, make use of different communicative techniques for stressing importance of specific statements, clearing up ambiguities with specific questions, active listening, and eliciting or summarizing; older teachers, more often than younger teachers, cooperate with the social workers; older social workers, more often than younger ones, cooperate with teachers; social workers, that have been employed for a shorter period of time express their need for additional professional fulfilment more often. Recommendation for future research on the given topic could involve a broader (inter)national representative sample with the addition of the pupil’s opinion.
