Izpostavili smo pomen zdravstvene nege in socialne dejavnosti v patronažnem varstvu. V raziskovalnem delu smo uporabili deskriptivni pristop z metodo opazovanja in intervjuvanja.

Title:Social isolation of elderly people in the home environment
Abstract:The loneliness of the elderly in our society is not so rare and represents a devastating impact on health and the consequent risk of premature death of the elderly population. Elderly may experience loneliness even when they are surrunded with family and friends. This thesis is about dealing with the social isolation of the elderly in the home environment. We have described the factors which influence the isolation. We present a concern for the elderly, the need for interpersonal relationship, social relationships in the age of social inclusion and exclusion of the elderly and intergenerational links. We highlight the importance of health care and social activity in the home health and hospice care. In research work, we used a descriptive approach with the method of observation and interview. The study included elderly and their family member. Data were obtained on the basis of a guided interview, which contained 12 questions related to basic life activities, 18 questions on the topic of social isolation of the elderly and 15 questions designed for relatives. The questions were open-ended. The interview was conducted in the home environment of the elderly in 2013. We wanted to determine whether the elderly person has contact with family members, other relatives, friends and neighbors, and whether he feels lonely. We were also interested if the family noticed that their family member is feeling lonely and how he expresses himself. The results studies showed that the elderly is occasionally feeling lonely, because there is no key person living beside them, although being present a lot of people with immense love toward them.
