Title:OPTIMIZACIJA SKLADIŠČNEGA POSLOVANJA Z UVEDBO ČITALNIKOV ČRTNIH KOD

Abstract:Skladiščno poslovanje je pomemben del gospodarjenja v vsakem podjetju, saj omogoča delovanje številnih drugih funkcij, predvsem nabave in prodaje, ter zagotavlja nemoteno in pravočasno oskrbovanje. Skladišče je prostor, kjer se shranjuje različne vrste materiala ali blaga, vključno z napravami, ki omogočajo sprejemanje, hrambo in izdajo oziroma odpremo materiala oziroma blaga. V diplomski nalogi bomo raziskali in analizirali skladiščno poslovanje in možnosti za izboljšavo obstoječega sistema z implementacijo sistema za upravljanje skladišč (WMS) in uvedbo ročnih terminalov z vgrajenim čitalcem črtnih kod. Obravnavano podjetje uporablja poslovni informacijski sistem (PIS) Pantheon, ki pokriva vse funkcije v podjetju od kadrovske, finančne, nabavne in prodajne, in podjetju omogoča natančen pregled poslovanja. Ob implementaciji PIS v podjetju pa se podjetje ni odločilo za optimizacijo in informatizacijo skladiščnega poslovanja. Skladišče deluje brez podprte informacijske tehnologije, za sledljivost blaga pa uporablja skladiščne kartice, v katere se ročno vpisuje izdano in prejeto količino blaga. Podjetje do sedaj ni posvečalo velike pozornosti tej tematiki, vendar pa se z rastjo podjetja in povečanim obsegom dela zaposleni v skladišču vsakodnevno srečujejo s težavami prevzemanja, skladiščenja, komisioniranja in odpreme blaga. Glavna pomanjkljivost dosedanjega skladiščnega poslovanja se kaže predvsem v sledljivosti blaga - izgubljanje nepotrebnega časa z iskanjem blaga ter ročnega vnašanje podatkov v skladiščne kartice.

Title:OPTIMIZATION OF WAREHOUSE PROCESSES WITH INTRODUCTION OF THE BARCODE READER
Abstract:Warehouse management is an important part of management in every company because it enables several other processes, especially when it comes to purchases and sales, and it is also vital for smooth and timely supply. A warehouse is a place used for storing different types of material or goods, including devices which enable receipt, storage, and issue or dispatch of material or goods. In this diploma paper, we shall research and analyse warehouse management and possibilities for improving the existing system by implementing a warehouse management system (WMS) and introducing handheld terminals with a built-in barcode scanner. The company in question uses business information system (BIS) Pantheon, which covers all functions within a company – from human resources, financial, purchases and sales – and it enables the company a precise overview of the business. When the company implemented BIS, it did not decide to optimise and computerise its warehouse management. The warehouse operates without supported information technology, and uses warehouse cards for tracking goods - data regarding issued and received quantity of goods is written down by hand. The company has so far not paid special attention to this, however, with the company growing and the workload increasing the employees at the warehouse come face to face with the difficulties when it comes to receiving, storing, commissioning, and dispatching the goods on a daily basis. The main weakness of the existing warehouse management is traceability of goods – losing valuable time when searching for goods and manually entering data onto warehouse cards.
