Title:Vpliv svetlobnih filtrov na kalitev in zgodnji razvoj fižola, koruze, vodne kreše in redkvice ter izvedba poskusa v šolah

Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo ugotavljali vplive svetlobnih filtrov na rast in razvoj rastlin. Uporabili smo filtre rdečih, modrih, zelenih in rumenih barv, prozorne referenčne filtre, senčno mrežo in UV zaščitno folijo. V prvem poskusu smo ugotavljali vplive svetlobnih filtrov na kalitev semen in zgodnji razvoj fižola, koruze, vodne kreše in redkvice. V drugem poskusu smo ugotavljali vplive svetlobnih filtrov na rast in razvoj fotosintetsko aktivnih rastlin enakih vrst. Na kalitev semen in nadaljnji razvoj kalčkov fižola, vodne kreše in redkvice so najbolje vplivali filtri, ki prepuščajo elektromagnetne valove po skoraj celotnem izmerjenem spektru (od okrog 300 nm do 1100 nm). Med te spadajo UV zaščitna folija, rumen in prozoren filter. Prozoren filter je sicer zaradi velike prepustnosti v območju UV-B svetlobe, predvsem v prvih dneh poskusa, nekoliko upočasnil kalitev semen. Za razliko od semen fižola, vodne kreše in redkvice so semena koruze najhitreje vzklila pod vplivom rdečega in modrega filtra. Podobno kot pri kalitvah semen, vendar tukaj brez izjem, so rastline dosegle optimalno rast tudi pri nadaljnjem razvoju pod vplivi filtrov, ki prepuščajo elektromagnetne valove po skoraj celotnem izmerjenem spektru in predstavljajo dober približek sončni svetlobi. Izbrani poskusi, prilagojeni znanju in sposobnostim učencev in dijakov, so primerni za izvedbo v osnovnih in srednjih šolah. Poskusi s svetlobnimi filtri prispevajo k boljšemu razumevanju vpliva svetlobe na rast in razvoj rastlin. Hkrati omogočajo medpredmetno povezovanje naravoslovnih predmetov. Omogočajo samostojno delo in učenje z odkrivanjem.

Title:The impact of light filters on the germination and early development of beans, corn, watercress and radish and performance of experiment in schools
Abstract:In this thesis we determined the influence of light filters on growth and development of plants. We used different coloured filters: red, blue, green and yellow, we also used transparent reference filters, a shadow net and UV protective foil. In the first experiment we determined the influence of light filters on seed germination and the early development of beans, corn, watercress and radish. In the second experiment we determined the influence of light filters on the growth and development of photosynthetically active plant species of the same sort. Filters that allow the most electromagnetic waves to pass (from about 300 nm to 1100 nm), have the best influence on seed germination and future development of bean, watercress and radish sprouts. These include UV protective foil, transparent and yellow filters. The transparent filter slowed the germination down in the first few days of the experiment, because of the permeability in the UV-B light area. Corn seeds germinated the fastest under the influence of the red and blue filters. The plants reached optimal growth in their further development, under the influence of filters that have high electromagnetic wave permeability and represent a good approximation of daylight. The selected experimetns can be carried out in high schools or elementary schools if properly adjusted to the skillset of those students. Light filter experiments can contribute to a better understanding of the influence of light on the growth and development of plants. They would also enable cross-curricular connections between science subjects. They allow independent work and learning through discovery.
