Title:REPRESENTATION OF FINE ARTS AT THE KOZJE, BISTRICA OB SOTLI AND BIZELJSKO KINDERGARTENS
Abstract:The purpose of this diploma thesis was to ascertain which areas of fine art are prevalent in selected kindergartens, and to exert professional influence on the work of childcare workers. The theoretical part presents kindergartens that participated in the research, along with the document entitled Kurikulum za vrtce (Kindergarten Curriculum). It also describes art as an activity in line with the Curriculum as well as the role and significance of artistic expression. The development of a child’s artistic expression is presented, followed by developmental stages in artistic expression. In addition, this part enumerates characteristics evident in the artistic expression of younger children, with each characteristic described in greater detail. Moreover, areas of fine art are described as well as all fine art techniques within individual areas. Listed are also some of the unsuitable fine art techniques, materials and tools, and general requirements to be adhered in the preparation of fine art material. The empirical part contains processed and analysed data obtained through a survey questionnaire for childcare workers. The questionnaire was distributed to childcare workers employed at the Zmajček Kozje, Pikapolonica Bistrica ob Sotli and Vrtec pri osnovni šoli Bizeljsko kindergartens. Fourteen childcare workers participated in the research.
