Title:VKLJUČEVANJE V IZOBRAŽEVANJE IN VPLIVNI DEJAVNIKI ZAPOSLITVE ŽENSK

Abstract:Ženske so danes obravnavane kot nepredvidljiva delovna sila, saj se v življenju srečujejo z različnimi ovirami, ki jim otežujejo njihovo poklicno pot - bodisi materinstvo, spolna diskriminacija in stereotipi, ki so na nek način še vedno prisotni v družbi. Ženske so danes v veliki meri bolj izobražene kot moški, vendar pa kljub temu zasedajo nižja delovna mesta, njihova bruto plača pa je v povprečju še vedno nižja od moške. Diplomsko delo obravnava dejavnike, ki lahko vplivajo na odločitev za izobraževanje in na odločitev za zaposlitev žensk. Velik pomen pri teh odločitvah imajo družba, vrednote in norme v kulturi, v kateri živimo. Prav tako pa k odločitvi za izobraževanje velikokrat pripomore tudi izboljšanje ekonomskega statusa posameznice. Diplomska naloga je sestavljena iz dveh delov - iz teoretičnega in raziskovalnega dela. V prvem delu smo opisali zgodovino izobraževanja in zaposlovanja žensk vse do danes, opredelili smo dejavnike, za katere menimo, da v veliki meri vplivajo na odločitev za izobraževanje in zaposlitev ter jih povezali z vlogo žensk, ki jo imajo v organizaciji. Drugi del diplomskega dela pa predstavlja raziskavo in njene rezultate. Zanimalo nas je, v kolikšni meri družbeni, ekonomski, kulturni in psihološki dejavniki vplivajo na odločitve za izobraževanje žensk in tudi v kolikšni meri omenjeni dejavniki vplivajo na zaposlovanje žensk – kateri dejavnik prevladuje ter kakšen pomen se pripisuje ostalim dejavnikom. S tem smo želeli ugotoviti, kaj je tisto, kar ženske spodbuja in motivira za izobraževanje in zaposlovanje.

Title:EDUCATION INVOLVEMENT AND INFLUENT FACTORS OF EMPLOYING WOMEN
Abstract:Nowadays, women are considered unpredictable workforce since they encounter different obstacles in life which make their careers difficult – either motherhood, gender discrimination, or stereotypes which still exist in the society. Women today outpace men in reaching higher levels of educational attainment. Nevertheless, they still occupy lower positions, and on average, their gross salary is still lower than men’s. This undergraduate thesis focuses on the factors which may influence women’s decision for pursuing education and entering the workforce. The society, values and cultural norms play an important role when taking these decisions. In addition, the improvement of economic status of an individual woman often drives her towards a decision for entering education. This paper consists of two parts – a theoretical and a research part. The first part outlines the history of women’s education and employment till today, and defines the factors which influence the decision about education and employment to a remarkable degree. The factors are presented in relation to the role of women in an organisation. The second part discusses the research and its results. The main question was to what extent the social, economic, cultural and psychological factors contribute to women’s decision for pursuing education, and also their entering the workforce. In addition, this part analyses the question of which factor prevails and what importance is attributed to the other factors. This analysis was performed in order to find out what encourages and motivates women to opt for education and employment.
