Title:VPLIV OSEBNOSTNIH LASTNOSTI PODJETNIKOV NA RAST IN INTERNACIONALIZACIJO SLOVENSKIH GAZEL

Abstract:Dinamičnost podjetnika, njegove osebnostne lastnosti, dinamično podjetje, rast in internacionalizacija predstavljajo prepletanje zgodbe magistrske naloge, ki je pred vami. Opravljena raziskava ugotavlja vpliv in povezavo med ključno osebo v podjetju, tj. podjetnikom, njegovimi osebnostnimi lastnostmi ter rastjo in internacionalizacijo slovenskih dinamičnih podjetij. Cilj magistrske naloge je bil poiskati relevanten odgovor na temeljno raziskovalno vprašanje: »Kako vplivajo osebnostne lastnosti podjetnika na rast slovenskih gazel in kolikšen del gazel internacionalizira svojo dejavnost zaradi istega vpliva?« V vsakem podjetju igra ključno vlogo podjetnik in njegova zavestna odločitev za rast. Seveda sama odločitev za rast ni dovolj. Poleg vseh zunanjih in notranjih dejavnikov je pomemben faktor podjetnik in njegove osebnostne lastnosti kot ključni element rasti. Kaj pravzaprav je osebnost? V psihologiji razumemo osebnost kot celostni vzorec relativno trajnih značilnosti, po katerih se posamezniki razlikujejo med seboj. Bistveni sestavini osebnosti sta relativna trajnost in individualnost, to kar posameznike med seboj ločuje. Osebnost posameznika določa različen odziv v enakih situacijah, pa tudi obratno, da se isti posamezniki v različnih situacijah odzivajo enako oz. podobno. Osebnostne značilnosti pa so tiste, ki se pojavljajo dosledno ne glede na vpliv okoliščin (dostopno na: Inštitut za razvoj človeških virov). V magistrski nalogi smo proučevali osebnostne lastnosti podjetnika. Veliko raziskovalcev pred nami je že analiziralo osebnostne lastnosti podjetnikov in spoznalo, da se osebnost podjetnikov razlikuje od osebnosti nepodjetnikov, predvsem v smislu odprtosti za nove ideje, nove izkušnje. V našem primeru smo osebnostne lastnosti razdelili na dva večja sklopa, in sicer: nepsihološke osebnostne lastnosti in psihološke osebnostne lastnosti. Nepsihološke osebnostne lastnosti sestavljata človeški in socialni kapital. V uspešnem podjetju, ki je usmerjeno v rast, sta človeški in socialni kapital neizbežna. Vse več podjetnikov se zaveda pomembnosti znanja, veščin, spretnosti in pomoči družinskih članov za uspešno delovanje podjetja. Prav tako pa je za uspešno podjetje pomemben tudi socialni kapital, ki pomaga podjetnikom do novih informacij, novega znanja ob vključenosti podjetnika v družbene vezi in omrežja, vse to pa ob visoko razvitih socialnih veščinah in trdnem zaupanju med člani. Podjetniki morajo vlagati tako v človeški kot v socialni kapital, saj lahko skupaj hitreje privedeta do željenega cilja. Psihološke osebnostne lastnosti smo razdelili na splošne psihološke lastnosti in spoznavne psihološke lastnosti. Splošne psihološke lastnosti sestavljajo: potrebo po dosežku, prevzemanje tveganja, inovativnost, neodvisnost, zaznano samoučinkovitost in notranji nadzor. Dinamičnega podjetnika opredeljujejo vse omenjene lastnosti, nekatere bolj izrazito kot druge. Spoznavne psihološke lastnosti pa sestavljata vizija in intuicija podjetnika, ki ravno tako prispevata pomemben del pri sprejemanju in analiziranju poslovnih odločitev v podjetju. Rast, ki se nanaša na spremembo velikosti podjetja, smo proučevali na vzorcu dinamičnih podjetjih. Zakaj? Ker so to edina podjetja, ki v današnjih težkih časih ostajajo dinamična, fleksibilna in ohranjajo konkurenčno prednost, saj so se sposobna hitro prilagoditi zahtevam, ki jih narekuje trg z učinkovito izrabo znanja, idej in informacij s strani dinamičnega podjetnika. To so ponavadi majhna visokotehnološka podjetja, ki so za razvoj slovenskega gospodarstva nujno potrebna, saj v obdobju petih let proizvedejo največ novih delovnih mest in iščejo priložnosti na globalnem trgu. V magistrski nalogi smo iskali tudi povezavo med rastjo podjetja in internacionalizacijo ter med osebnostnimi lastnostmi podjetnika v povezavi z internacionalizacijo. Mednarodno poslovanje je pomembno, saj predstavlja vključevanje v izvoz nujno sestavino za zagotavljanje obstoja, preživetja in rasti dinamičnih podjetij. V

Title:THE IMPACT OF ENTREPRENEURS' PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS ON GAZELS' GROWTH AND INTERNATIONALIZATION
Abstract:Dynamism of the entrepreneur, personal characteristics of the entrepreneur, dynamic company, growth and internationalization are the core subjects of this master thesis. The performed research focused on the impact and the interconnection between the key person in a company – the entrepreneur, his personal characteristics, growth and internationalization of Slovenian dynamic companies. The aim of the master thesis was to find a relevant answer to the basic research question: »How do personal characteristics of the entrepreneur influence the growth of Slovenian gazelle companies and what is the share of the gazelle companies that internationalize their activities due to this influence?« In each company, the entrepreneur and his conscious decision for growth play the key role. Of course, the decision for growth itself is not enough. In addition to all external factors that influence the company from outside and internal factors that influence the company from inside, the entrepreneur and his personal characteristic are key growth elements. What does personality actually stand for? In psychology personality is understood as a comprehensive pattern of relatively enduring characteristics which differentiate individuals among themselves. Relative endurance and individuality are essential components of the personality that differentiates individuals among them. The individual’s personality results in different responses of individuals to same situations or similar responses of same individuals to different situations. Personal characteristics are those characteristics which occur consistently irrespective of the influence of circumstances (accessible at: Inštitut za razvoj človeških virov – Human Resources Development Institute). In the master thesis personal characteristics of an entrepreneur were studied. A lot of researchers before us had already analyzed personal characteristics of entrepreneurs and found that personalities of entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs differ primarily as regards their openness for new ideas, new experiences. In our case personal characteristics were divided into two major types as follows: non-psychological personal characteristics and psychological personal characteristics. Non-psychological personal characteristics comprise human and social capital. In a successful growth-oriented company human and social capital is unavoidable. An ever increasing number of entrepreneurs are aware of the importance of knowledge, skills and assistance of family members for the successful operation of a company. Of similar importance for a successful company is also social capital which helps entrepreneurs to arrive at new information, new knowledge by inclusion of the entrepreneur into social relations and networks while having highly developed social skills and strong trust between members. The entrepreneur has to invest into human as well as social capital since both can together help to arrive faster at the desired target. Psychological personal characteristics may be divided into general psychological characteristics and cognitive psychological characteristics. General psychological characteristics comprise: need for achievement, risk taking, innovation, independency, perception of self-efficiency and internal control. A dynamic entrepreneur is defined by all above stated characteristics, some more and some less distinctly. Cognitive psychological characteristics comprise vision and intuition which contribute similarly important part in taking and analyzing business decisions in a company. Growth in the sense of the change of the size of a company was studied on a sample of dynamic companies. Why? Because they are the only companies in present hard times that remain dynamic, flexible and maintain their competitive advantage since they are capable to adjust quickly to the market requirements by efficient application of knowledge, ideas, information on the part of the dynamic entrepreneur.
