Abstract:V diplomskem delu je predstavljen sprejemnik za Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) kot dodatek k razvojni platformi Nanoboard 3000. ADS-B je radarska tehnologija, ki omogoča pridobivanje informacij o udeležencih v zračnem prometu. Pri načrtovanju strojne opreme so na kratko predstavljene nekatere metode načrtovanja prenosnih linij in izračun lastnosti visokofrekvenčnega sprejemnika. Ob tem smo stremeli k nizki ceni in majhni površini tiskanine. Cilj programske opreme je programirljivo logično vezje, zato je bil izbran strojno-opisni jezik VHDL. Uporabljeni so tudi nekateri sestavni bloki, vključeni v programski paket Altium Designer 10.

Title:AUTOMATIC DEPENDENT SURVEILLANCE - BROADCAST RECEIVER
Abstract:Thesis presents a standalone ADS-B Receiver, as a module for the Nanoboard 3000 FPGA development platform. ADS-B is a radar technology, which enables gathering information about aircraft traffic. The hardware implementation includes techniques for transmission line design and basic calculations for a high frequency receiver. Low-cost and small printed circuit board footprint was a priority. Decoding is implemented in an FPGA, therefore VHDL was chosen as primary language. Most of the software is written in VHDL. Some of Altium's predefined graphic building blocks are also used.
