V raziskovalnem delu naloge smo obravnavali stanje v slovenskih vaških kulturnih domovih, njihovo delovanje in načrtovanje dela, organiziranost, vodenje in nadzor ali pregled doseženega dela. V začetku naloge smo postavili tri hipoteze, ki smo jih v raziskovalnem delu preverjali in jih nato s pomočjo dokazov, pridobljenih z anketo, potrdili.

Title:MODEL OF MANAGEMANT OF RURAL CULTURAL CENTERS
Abstract:The diploma project is divided into a section dealing with theory and a section covering research findings. The theoretical section gives a review of management literature by various authors, with a special emphasis on the management of not-for-profit organisations. The research section analyses the state of play in Slovenian rural cultural centres, their functioning and their approach towards planning, organisation, management, and supervision, as well as follow-up of the work achieved. The first part of the project postulates three hypotheses, which are tested in the research section and then verified on the basis of evidence acquired via a survey. The findings show that the operations of rural cultural centres involve practically no management, because their managers engage in virtually no planning, where organisation and management is limited to organising and managing individual events or projects, with results of their work being registered only by associations in their reports. For the purpose of improving this situation, the diploma project offers a model of management of rural cultural centres. The model provides, by basic management functions, a job description of a rural centre's manager, along with examples of the manager's tasks. The introduction of the project also describes the effects of the implementation of the proposed management model. Among other things, these effects show an example of the interconnectedness between the general interest and public interest within the operation of a cultural centre. This is followed by an analysis of a number of basic conditions to be fulfilled for exercising these interests.
