V razvojnem, materialnem, prostorskem in kulturnem smislu je lutkovno gledališče na Slovenskem doživelo največji razcvet v osemdesetih letih dvajsetega stoletja in se uspešno razvija še danes v slovenskih poklicnih, polpoklicnih, amaterskih in ljubiteljskih lutkovnih gledališčih in skupinah.

Title:DEVELOPMENT OF THE PUPPET THEATRE IN SLOVENIA
Abstract:The thesis entitled Development of the Slovenian puppet theater in theoretical and includes detailed historical overview of the Slovenian puppet theater from its beginnings until today. It discusses specific differences between the theater and the puppet theater. It also presents Milan Klemenčič who is, so-called, father of Slovenian puppetry and other pioneers of puppetry - puppeteers, their dealing with many problems that accompanied them throughout the puppet development. The thesis defines the various puppetry techniques which are, in the course of development of puppet theater in the Slovenian territory, developed and upgraded with the help of animators. That also applies to puppet shows that introduce children with ethics and aesthetics, the good and the beautiful, and are their first readers and also entertainment. The puppet art is real art, which is also meant for adults. The puppet theater combines visual art music, dramatics, acting, animation, and puppet plays. The creation of the first professional puppet theater was of decisive importance for the development of the puppet theatre. In the developmental, material, spatial and cultural sense, a puppet theater in Slovenian thrived the most in the 1980s, and is still successfully developing in the Slovenian professional, semi-professional, and amateur puppet theaters and groups.
