Opis:Izhodišče: Spolnost obstaja, odkar obstaja človek. Freud je odkril, da gredo otroci čez pet stopenj spolnega razvoja, ki jih pripravi na zdravo odraslost. Sodobni zagovorniki spolnosti podpirajo to izhodišče in dodajajo, da spolnost ni omejena zgolj na spolne odnose, pač pa je sestavni del zdravih medčloveških odnosov. Pomembno vlogo pri vpeljevanju spolne vzgoje v šolski program ima tudi Svetovna zdravstvena organizacija, ki združuje medicinsko-zdravstveno paradigmo z drugimi paradigmami. Spolna vzgoja se torej začne v družini od rojstva otroka in doseže vrhunec v adolescenci. Velik vpliv nanjo pa imajo še mediji, okolje in izobraževalne inštitucije. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je ugotoviti mnenje učiteljev, ali dobijo otroci od šestega do devetega razreda osnovne šole dovolj informacij o spolnosti in katere so te vsebine. Raziskovalna metodologija: Uporabljena je deskriptivna metoda dela. Pripravili smo spletni anketni vprašalnik s 15 vprašanji, s katerim smo februarja 2012 anketirali 30 učiteljev od šestega do devetega razreda osnovnih šol na področju Gorenjske, Ljubljane in Savinjske doline. Rezultati: Ugotovljeno je bilo, da imajo učitelji do spolne vzgoje pozitiven odnos in jo vključujejo medpredmetno. Informacije, ki jih o spolnosti dobijo osnovnošolci v 6. razredu, vključujejo anatomske in fiziološke značilnosti ljudi ter spolne zlorabe in spolno nasilje. V 9. razredu osnovne šole pa osnovnošolci izvedo več o temah kot so zdrava in varna spolnost in spolni odnosi med mladimi. Čeprav so učitelji, ki predavajo vsebine o spolnosti pri tem sproščeni, na teme dobro pripravljeni, si v določenih situacijah želijo sodelovanja strokovnih sodelavcev, kot so zdravstveni delavci ali psihologi, da bi otrokom predstavili teme, ki zahtevajo več strokovnega in praktičnega znanja. Še posebej pa si želijo pri spolni vzgoji sodelovanje staršev. Sklep: Na področju spolne vzgoje otrok se predvsem zdravstvene inštitucije vključujejo v vzgojo učiteljev in otrok z didaktično učnim gradivom. Učitelji so na teme o spolnosti dobro pripravljeni, vendar potrebujejo dodatno podporo zdravstvenih strokovnjakov.

Naslov:Sex education in Slovenian primary school from 6th to 9th grade
Opis:Origin: Sexuality has existed ever since of the man kind. Freud discovered that children go through five stages of sexual development, which prepares them for a healthy adulthood. Modern-day advocates of sexuality who support this thesis are adding that sexuality is not limited to sexual intercourse, but is a constituent part of healthy human relations. World Health Organization plays an important role in the introduction of sex education in school programs and also unites medical-health paradigm with other paradigmas. Sexual education, therefore, begins in the family since the birth of a child and reaches its climax in adolescence. Media, environment and educational institutions also have a huge impact on the child in regards of sexuality. Purpose: The objective of final thesis is to assess the opinion of teachers, do children from sixth to ninth-grade gain sufficient information about sexuality and their contents. Research methodology: Descriptive method was used in this thesis. In February 2012, an online survey consisting of 15 questions was given to 30 teachers who were interviewed and working from sixth to ninth-grade at elementary schools in Gorenjska region, Ljubljana and Savinjska Valley. Results: The research showed that teachers have a perceptive and positive outlook towards sex education and include it during selected moments of their curriculum. Children's first encounter with sex education is in sixth grade where the subject includes anatomy and physiological characteristics of people, sexual abuse and sexual violence behavior. In ninth grade children gain more knowledge about topics such as healthy and safe sexual relationships among their peers. Although teachers who lecture about sexuality are relaxed and well prepared on this matter, they believe in certain situations the participation of professional staff such as healthcare professionals, and psychologists, would be helpful and better presentable to children as topics require more expertise and practical knowledge. And finally also parents are welcome to contribute at sex education. Conclusion: Participants usually involved in the field of teaching children about sex education are health care institutions who also engage teachers and children in their educational learning programs and use of their material. Teachers are well prepared regarding the subject of sexuality, but need additional support from health care professionals.
