Abstract:Namen diplomske naloge je bil preučiti natančen način merjenja vlage v tleh s pomočjo brezžičnega senzorskega omrežja. V ta namen smo merili vlago na treh različnih nivojih (20, 50 in 80 cm) in ob tem izmerjene vrednosti primerjali z vrednostmi okoljskih razmer, kot so temperatura zraka, vlažnost zraka, temperatura tal in omočenost listov za obdobje enega meseca. Ugotovili smo, da bi se z natančnim merjenjem vlage v tleh in drugih okoljskih parametrov lahko natančno napovedala obdobja pomanjkanja vlage v tleh in določila mikroklima merjenega območja. Na podlagi teh podatkov bi se lahko ugotovilo, kdaj in koliko vode je treba dodati določenim kmetijskim kulturam.

Title:Soil moisture monitoring using wireless sensor network
Abstract:The aim of this diploma paper was to study soil moisture monitoring using wireless sensor network. To this end, soil moisture was measured at three different depths (20, 50 and 80 cm) for the period of one month and compared with environmental conditions, such as air temperature and humidity, soil temperature and leaf wetness. The findings suggest that precise sensor-based monitoring of soil moisture and other environmental parameters enables us to determine microclimate in a particular area as well as predict soil moisture loss. Furthermore, this data can be used to ascertain how much water should be applied to particular crops and when.
