Title:IZRAČUN SONČNEGA POTENCIALA IZ PODATKOV LIDAR NA GPU

Abstract:Izračun sončnega potenciala iz podatkov LiDAR je eden iz med najbolj učinkovitih pristopov za iskanje primernih površin za namestitev fotovoltaičnih sistemov v urbanih področjih. Pri tem je potrebno upoštevat različne faktorje, ki vplivajo na natančnost izračuna, npr.: lokacija na Zemlji, topografija površja, senčenje, in zmanjševanje sončnega sevanja zaradi vplivov atmosfere ter oblakov. Čas izračuna se poveča, kadar je velikost podatkov znatno večja. Hitrejši izračun je sicer možen z uporabo superračunalnikov, vendar je cenovno neugoden za splošno uporabo. V tem magistrskem delu predstavimo učinkovito metodo za izračun sončnega potenciala iz podatkov LiDAR na grafičnem procesorju. Pri tem upoštevamo topografijo, pridobljeno iz podatkov LiDAR in statistične podatke sončnega obsevanja iz meritev s piranometrom. Večločljivostno globalno senčenje zaradi trdih objektov, in hevristično globalno senčenje zaradi vegetacije, dopolnjujeta predstavljeno metodo. Eksperimenti demonstrirajo učinkovitost in natančnost predstavljene metode.

Title:ESTIMATION OF SOLAR POTENCIAL USING LIDAR DATA ON GPU
Abstract:Estimation of solar potential using LiDAR data is one of the most effecient approaches to determine suitable surfaces for photovoltaic systems installation in urban areas. Various factors have to be considered to increase the calculation accuracy, as position on Earth, surfaces' topography, shadowing, and solar radiation decrease by the influence from atmosphere and cloud-cover. As the amount of LiDAR data increases, the calculation time increases. Although fast calculation is possible with supercomputers, it is expensive for general usage. In this master thesis we present an effecient method for solar potential estimation using LiDAR data on graphics processing unit. We obtain the topography from LiDAR data and statistical data of solar irradiance from pyranometer. Multiresolutional shadowing from solid objects, and heurestical shadowing from vegetation, complete the presented method. Experiments demonstrate the effeciency and accuracy of the proposed method.
