Abstract:Konec devetdesetih let prejšnjega stoletja je prišlo do velikih družbeno- gospodarskih sprememb v državah vzhodne Evrope.

Title:ECONOMICS CHANGES IN SLOVENIA AND IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA AFTER 1991
Abstract:Economic Changes in Slovenia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina after 1991 At the end of the nineties of the twentieth century the eastern European countries reached big social-economical changes. It was the end of the Cold war and the end of the separation of Europe to socialistic East and capitalistic West. Changes were also present on the part of ex Yugoslavia. When Slovenia became independent, the country began with transition era. Slovenia had to restructure all economy and start with world market economy because of its ambition to become one of the members of the European Union. After Yugoslavia fell apart, social and political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina was becoming more and more strained, so the worst scenario happened - the war started. The Dayton agreement reestablished peace but it did not assure stability in the country or the economy. With this diploma thesis we want to get more information about economic situation in Slovenia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina and also compare economical situation in both countries after 1991. Slovenia is the fifth biggest investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina, therefore we are interested to know more about Slovenian companies and their interests for investments in Bosnian economy and possible future Slovenian- Bosnian economical cooperation.
